Hi, I’m Shelyna,

As a judge, minister, Master Certified Coach, certified mediator, professor of law, and global TEDx speaker I have been blessed to lead a very full life. I enjoyed my single life and did everything I wanted to do—including traveling and buying a home—however, deep inside I desired to be married. It seemed that every other prayer in my life had been answered, yet my singleness persisted. To be honest, even while I prayed, I really did not expect that I could be married at my age. I was reminded that I was more likely to be struck by lightening than to be married. I was told that no one would want to marry a judge or a minister, let alone both. Every date I went on, I expected to be just like all the others—disappointing.

Then, while writing Preside, I realized I needed to also Steward over my expectations in the area of finding love. In addition to praying, I began to expect to meet the man of my dreams and believe that I could have an amazing relationship. I worked on my Mindset, Heartset and Skillset, so that I would be the best version of myself — ready to receive the love of my life. Well, I am now blissfully married and we just celebrated our one year anniversary! Now, I am excited to share what I have learned with other 40+ accomplished women of faith who are where I was, so they too, can find love.
